Fix: Petroleum jelly
Remove scuffs easily from patent leather shoes with a bit of petroleum jelly. The mineral oil in the jelly helps to erase scuff marks, and will also keep the leather from cracking. Spread a small amount on the scuff and buff away with a cotton swab or clean cloth.
